It pulled me in faster than I expected. The Seattle 2084 setting is creepy in that Orwell sort of way, but also believable enough to give you a a little chill. Some of the science parts went a bit over my head, but it didn’t really bother me, it just added to the mood.

The book throws you straight into a dark, tech-heavy future while still keeping things surprisingly human. The story follows Antony and I found myself rooting for him even when the world around him felt a bit overwhelming at times. The narration flows well and pulls you in, though a couple of moments felt a touch heavier than they needed to be.
